Changes in processing on Bank Charges and Fees

In order to implement the digital transition, our bank continues the replacement of the local account management and various transaction processing system. In the first phase, in April 2024, we carried out the system transition related to money and capital market operations. Next, the introduction of an integrated system related to bank charges and fees is expected. As a result, there will be changes in the processing of bank charges and fees, and these will be shown on account statements in a different way than before:

  • The 'Charge' account type will be phased out.
  • In the future, fees and charges will be deducted uniformly as follows:

Fees

  • will be shown in a separate statement (in English language), which will be sent to you for information 2 working days before the fee is applied.
  • will be listed in a lump sum on the statement by fee type and account (e.g., if there are 5 SEPA transfers in a given month with a fee of 10 EUR per SEPA transfer according to the fee schedule, then 50 EUR will be charged on the monthly statement - indicating that it applies to 5 SEPA transfers).
  • will be processed once a month on the 3rd working day of the month following the month in question, in a lump sum per account.
  • The method of charging for account maintenance fees will also change: from charging by currency denomination to charging per bank account.
    • For those customers to whom the account maintenance fee based on the List of Terms and Conditions applies, no further action is required.
    • For special fee arrangements, a modification of the bank account agreement is necessary.
  • Statement of fees
    • For customers with access to electronic channels, the statement will be available on the electronic channel in PDF format.
    • Customers without electronic channels will receive the statement in PDF format via email (you will be able to provide for this later).
  • If a modification of the account agreement is necessary, ING Bank will contact you to ensure a smooth transition to the new fee charging system at the start.
  • The revised List of Terms and Conditions containing the above changes will be published in the usual manner.

Further information on the expected timing of these changes will be provided in the future.
