What does a perfect start of the day look like for you? 

For me, the perfect workday starts with a large latte. Afterwards, I read through my e-mails and coordinate with my colleagues about the upcoming to-do's.

What does your typical workday look like?

The daily work routine is varied, every day is different and yet the same. Our goal is to create the best banking experience for our customers as well as to achieve our banking goals. This requires a high level of coordination and communication within the team.

How would you describe the work culture at ING?

ING is characterized by flat hierarchies, which is why the corporate culture is more relaxed and friendly. It makes it easier to work together, but that doesn't mean we don't disagree from time to time or engage in discussions to find the best result in our customer's interest.

In your view, what’s special about working at ING Wholesale Banking?

ING is not a traditional bank. Unlike other banks, the mentality of ING is completely different. If you have an idea or want to change something, ING offers you the opportunity to contribute this idea. The special thing about ING is that you are encouraged to take things into your own hands and drive the change. This makes us very independent, and I enjoy the freedom that comes with it. 

Is there an area that is of particular interest to you or one where you would like to  gain further expertise?

In general, I'm not averse to discovering a new topics, because there are many great and interesting business areas and sectors at ING. For now, I would like to focus on contributing to the growth story of our Large Corporates sector

What keeps you motivated in your work?

Working together with my colleagues and achieving success as a strong team is what motivates me the most. Only together can we win and execute the best deals for the bank.

Beside your job, what are your other passions in life?

There are several things that excite me. I am enthusiastic about my daughter. I enjoy the fresh air and nature very much. I also enjoy doing sport outdoors in the mountains. And I love spending time with my horses.

Can you tell us any other interesting fact about yourself?

In my free time, I am a passionate dressage rider and I enjoy skiing.
