Marina Kobakova has been named Country Manager of ING Bulgaria, succeeding Grzegorz Konieczny on 1 January 2023

Marina Kobakova

Marina is currently head of the Corporate Sector Coverage team, Transaction Services sales team as well as Financial Institutions Sector Coverage for Bulgaria and South-Eastern Europe. She has also been acting as the Sustainable Finance Sector Champion for Corporate Sector Coverage. Marina holds a long-term career in banking and international audit companies and has shown great commitment and dedication to grow the Bulgarian client franchise and to enhance client results. Her extensive credit and market knowledge will help further build the client network and explore new opportunities. 

Under Grzegorz Konieczny’s leadership, ING Bulgaria has doubled its income and has seen the first ever sustainable transaction in the country, as well as IPO and DCM mandates. The organisation has also gained visibility as one of the key market players in social entrepreneurship, empowering innovators to develop their solutions for social inclusion.
