Fraudulent deposit warnings - ING Ireland

Fraudulent Capital Protected Fixed Term Deposit Account Offering purporting to come from ING Bank N.V., Dublin Branch.

We have become aware of fraudulent Capital Protected Fixed Term Deposit Accounts being offered under a proposed Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS) covering fixed deposits up to €100,000 per person with attractive rates and investment terms including a fake prospectus.

The perpetrators deceptively claim to be an “ING Senior Investment Specialist” and use a fraudulent “ING Private Wealth” email address.

We wish to emphasise that ING Bank N.V., Dublin Branch, based in Ireland, is a Wholesale Bank only, serving large corporate clients with no private individual customers. We do not offer any retail investment products in Ireland, and we do not accept any liability in respect of funds invested. We are taking this matter seriously and we are working with our central Fraud team and the local authorities.

As these emails and phone calls are fraudulent, we strongly discourage all individuals from sharing any personal data or transferring money/funds.

If you are approached by anyone purporting to be part of ING, please report it to our Local Fraud department via email anti-fraud-ireland@ing.com and to the Irish Police An Garda Síochána.

We wish to emphasise again that ING Bank N.V., Dublin Branch, based in Ireland, is a Wholesale Bank, serving only large corporate clients. We do not offer any retail investment products in Ireland, and we do not accept any liability in respect of funds invested.
