Sustainable Finance

ING is one of the world's leading banks in the field of sustainable finance. Sustainability is at the core of our business strategy. Even climate-neutral since 2007, the area of sustainability financing has received a lot of attention in recent years. This not only resulted in principles of action such as turning away from financing the coal industry, but also a pool of know-how fed by experts and a financing offer that promotes efforts to improve the climate. The “Sustainability Improvement Loan” developed by ING is linked to a sustainability rating for the borrower, in which parameters such as social and governance are also taken into account. The loan interest depends on the company's sustainability performance: more sustainability lowers the interest rate - and vice versa. Of course, ING offers companies in Austria the full range of green financing. With the help of our international experts, we look after Austrian and international companies and accompany them on their way to greater sustainability. Find out more in the sustainability section of the ING Wholesale Banking global website.
